When the velocity of the air around the roof is high the pressure becomes low in accordace to benoulli's theorem . Then the high pressure inside the house pushes the roof outside to balance out .
This is same as if you are standing on a road and a fast car passes by you and you feel a push from behind.

im guessing this is somewhere in south Florida. why want they build hurricane efficient things they know we live in Florida and get hit by hurricanes duh! but they build houses by the water they build them on the flat road at least build them 4 steps high some parts of south Florida just makes me mad they way its built like don't they know we get hit and flood quick! smh were going to be under water watch lol

the roofs getting ripped off is due to the high pressure inside house and low pressure outside . When the velocity of the air around the roof is high the pressure becomes low in accordace to benoulli's theorem . Then the high pressure inside the house pushes the roof outside to balance out . This is same as if you are standing on a road and a fast car passes by you and you feel a push from behind. Physics is amazing :D
